By Khaki Scott, Procter & Gamble Mexico has committed $250 million U.S. dollars to the construction and development of their new production center in Irapuato, Guanajuato. The center will produce Gillette razors and razor blades, and will create 1,700 direct jobs, and 700 indirect jobs. This will make the new Procter & Gamble Production Center the largest in its field in the world. This brings the number of plants Procter & Gamble has in Mexico to nine, several of which are in Guanajuato.
